Hans Wilsdorf, the mastermind behind the Rolex brand, founded Tudor in 1946 with the mission to create watches with the same Rolex quality at a more attainable price. Throughout the remainder of the 20th century, Tudor worked to carve its own place in the industry, independent from its parent brand. This Prince Date follows a similar design code as a Rolex Datejust but with a size similar to an Air King at 34.5mm featuring an stainless steel oyster case, a Tudor oyster bracelet and a fantastic gloss black dial. Not only does it look great, it's also powered by the workhorse ETA 2824 automatic movement quick set date.

This Tudor is in overall great condition. Although polished in the past, the case is strong with sharp lugs and no major scratches. The glossy black dial is in excellent clean condition with no blemishes or discoloration. The lume plots are all full and the index as well as the hands show no aging. The original Tudor folded-link bracelet is in fantastic condition too with minor stretch. The dial, crown, case, caseback, movement, and bracelet are all signed by Tudor. It was recently serviced in October 2021 and is currently running at +15.2 seconds per day at the upright position.
