The Rolex Day-Date is undeniably one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable timepieces ever created. Even for those unfamiliar with watches, the Day-Date’s presence is unmistakable. First launched in 1956, it quickly became Rolex’s flagship model, famously earning the nickname ‘the President’. Among the many references produced, the Ref. 1803 stands out as one of the most celebrated and collectible.

This particular example is a refined and elegant piece, featuring an 18k solid white gold case paired with a stunning silver non-luminous dial — a relatively uncommon configuration, complete with the correct non-luminous handset. The dial is in fantastic, seemingly flawless condition, showing no signs of wear or damage. Its crisp, vibrant finishing and text remain perfectly intact.

Adding to its appeal, the original fluted white gold bezel shows matching light wear consistent with the case, which itself is very well preserved. While the watch was lightly polished in the past, it still retains thick, sharp lugs and well-defined hallmarks both on the case and inside the caseback. The white gold Rolex crown is also period correct and is in good shape.

Originally delivered on a white gold President bracelet, this watch has been fitted with a genuine Rolex stainless steel 6251H Jubilee bracelet, originally designed for the Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601. The bracelet is in good vintage condition, showing some stretch and light surface scratches, and comfortably fits wrists up to 175mm (6.9 inches).

The 18k white gold Day-Date Ref. 1803 was produced around 1974, based on the case serial, and remains a well-preserved vintage example. All components — including the case, crown, dial, movement, and bracelet — are signed by Rolex. The watch was last serviced in 2022 by the previous owner and is currently running at -6.3 seconds per day.
