This watch needs no introduction. Inspired by the Renault tanks that the French jeweler saw in battle on the Western Front during the first World War, the Tank has been the foundation of Cartier since 1917. This example is the Tank released as part of the Must de Cartier line that the French maison first introduced in 1977. The watch paid tribute to the original Tank Louis Cartier and was launched in more than a dozen different dial options like dark black, red and even a striped pattern, or three shades of gold. This example we have on offer is the highly coveted white stepped dial Must Tank featuring beautiful Breguet numerals. This Must Tank is the LM (large size) which was marketed for men's.

Overall, this Tank is in great vintage condition. The gold plated Vermeil case is in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches. All the hallmarks are very crisp on the case and caseback. The original white dial is in overall clean condition with the Breguet numerals in very crisp shape. The original blued steel hands and blue spinel cabochon is in great shape. The quartz movement was last serviced in June 2023 with a new battery installed. This Cartier Must Tank comes its original gold plated buckle. The black strap is a generic strap NOT from Cartier. The watch also comes with a Cartier box.
