This is the highly sought after CPCP (Cartier Paris Collection Privee) Tank Cintrée in platinum, limited to just 50 pieces. Unlike most of the other CPCP models which were numbered but not necessarily limited, the platinum Cintrée was a model that was truly limited in the series. This Cintrée was inspired by the 1929 Tank Cintrée that had a dial with radium Arabic numerals, also known as the Fred Astaire Cintrée. The proportions of this CPCP Cintrée was faithful to the larger original Cintrée pieces- the 9 ligne, with the curved case being 46mm long and 23 mm wide.
Overall, this piece is in mint condition. The original owner never wore this watch. It underwent a complete servicing by Cartier in 2016 and the movement is running well at -6.5 seconds/day. This Cintrée employs the manual wind 9770MC caliber which was a movement supplied by Jaeger LeCoultre and beautifully finished by Cartier. This comes as a full set with the original CPCP mahogany wooden box, guarantee card, card holder, booklet as well as the user manual detailing all the CPCP models at that time. The user manual is unique to the Cintrée, given the Cintrée is not shown in any of the manuals for the other CPCP models. It also comes with Cartier service papers when the movement underwent a full servicing in 2016. This comes with the original black Cartier leather strap and white gold deployant buckle.
