This watch needs no introduction. Inspired by the Renault tanks that the French jeweler saw in battle on the Western Front during the first World War, the Tank has been the foundation of Cartier since 1917. This example is the Tank released as part of the Must Tank line that the French maison reintroduced in 2021. The watch paid tribute to the vintage Must de Cartier Tank models that launched in 1977 and were sold throughout the 80' and 90's. The 2021 Must reissue eliminated the words "Must de" and logo from the dial, leaving just two sharp hands to tick around a mostly empty canvas. This example we have on offer is the WSTA0055 Must Tank large size in steel featuring a beautiful blue dial. Its steel case with rounded flanking case bands, offset by its peaked blue cabochon crown provides its highly distinctive external format measuring 33.7mm long x 25mm wide. Throw in its lacquered blue dial with just hour and minute sword hands, ‘Cartier’ at twelve, and ‘Swiss made’ right at the bottom of the dial and an effortlessly appealing watch is the end result. 

Overall, this Tank is in excellent condition. The steel case is in great condition with just very few minor scratches that are barely noticeable. The blue dial is in flawless condition along with its blue spinel cabochon. A new battery was installed in the caliber 157 quartz movement in July 2023. This Cartier Must Tank is still a relatively new watch as it was originally purchased in January of 2021. It comes from its original owner as a full set with its outer/inner box, guarantee card, and papers. The guarantee is registered for Cartier Care and the warranty of the watch will last until January of 2030. It comes with its original Cartier steel pin buckle and alligator strap. We will include a saffiano strap from Delugs (pictured) as well.
