The Ceinture was originally introduced by Cartier in 1927. Over 50 years later, during the early 1970's, Cartier reintroduced the Ceinture as one of 12 special "shaped" watches that formed part of the “Louis Cartier Collection”. The word Ceinture in French translates to "belt", and the watch was named as such given its resemblance to the buckle of a belt. The Ceinture in the 79's was produced either in white gold, yellow gold, or a combination of white gold and yellow gold. However, in the 80's, Cartier introduced additional Ceinture variants powered by a quartz movement. One of these variants was the Ceinture Trinity which used a combination of yellow, white, and pink gold for each of its triple stepped octagonal case. The Trinity Ceinture produced for women's, came in the SM size with a hidden ribbed lug design. The Ceinture stands as a perfect example of why Cartier is often referred to as the "master of shapes". The maison's astonishing talent lies in crafting refreshingly unique designs that defy the traditional norms of their era, leaving us truly amazed.

This Cartier Ceinture Trinity in 18K YG, WG, and PG is in overall great vintage condition. The octagonal triple stepped case is strong and is in fantastic condition. The case has very light scratches throughout but has most likely never been polished before. For a Cartier from this era, the case is in excellent condition. The dial is in overall great condition too with no major blemishes (just some slight blemishes along the edges). The dial is the original Swiss only signed white lacquered dial. The original black painted numerals is in beautiful condition. The quartz caliber was recently serviced with a new battery installed. The watch comes with its original Cartier leather strap that was used by the previous owner and is in worn condition. It also comes with its original Cartier gold filled tang buckle. The watch also comes with its original Cartier box.
