The Hermès Kelly collection is among the most iconic and recognizable in the brand’s history. Introduced in 1975, the Kelly watch took inspiration from the famed handbag of the same name, incorporating its signature padlock motif in a creative and elegant way. Rather than functioning as a traditional clasp, the padlock itself serves as the watch case—suspended from the strap and housing a discreet time-only display showing hours and minutes.

Early versions of the Kelly watch were paired with either single or double tour straps crafted from Hermès’ signature leather, echoing the design of the handbag’s side straps and further enhancing the connection between timepiece and tote.

This vintage Hermès Kelly watch is presented in good overall condition, with light signs of wear consistent with its age. The watch case, stainless steel padlock, and clasp display minor scratches and surface marks acquired over years of use, while remaining in very good structural condition. Both the padlock and clasp operate smoothly, preserving the distinctive character and functionality of the original design. Please note that one small screw on the side of the watch case is missing; however, this does not affect the integrity of the case.

The watch is fitted with its original epsom blue calf leather strap, signed by Hermès. While the strap shows visible wear from use, it remains in wearable condition. The quartz movement is running smoothly, with a new battery installed in December 2025.

Included with the watch is its original Hermès wooden presentation box.
